stalls or circle?
We have two children and i want them to be able to see - this is a rare expensive treat!
Someone said you need to be in the circle, but the stalls seats are the same price and there are 4 good ones available. Would we miss something sitting 'downstairs'?

I don't know the venue, but web images suggest that the stalls are all on one level, while the circle seats are 'tiered' upwards from the front to the back - ie the usual pattern in theatres.

If the children are fairly young, therefore, they'd probably get a better view in the circle.
Depends how they're staging it. For a musical I'd normally say nearest the front of the circle as possible. But the original production of SE had tracks all round and through the stalls so the characters (and model trains) zoomed through the audience - something you'd miss if you were in the circle!

Enjoy!
Knowing the Opera house I would go to stalls, its a fantastic show.
