Mine was The Specials at Leicester Poly (though it could have been de Montfort Hall) circa 1980.

The Police, Deeside Leisure Centre, 1979.
Duran Duran, Hammersmith Odeon, 1982.  Tickets cost 4.50 and I went with my mum and 3 friends.  Wow my mum would have been just 43!  Fab question brachiopod.

Wheatus, Aberdeen Music Hall, must have been around 1999? Ha, the embarrassment ^_^

Simple Minds at Wembley in 1989 (Texas, Gun and The Silencers in support). I started big and worked my way down to smaller gigs.

Iron Maiden 1982 Glasgow Apollo, Beast on the Road tour.

Awesome.

UK Subs at The Clarendon 1981.
brachipod. Do you still live in Leicester? I used to run a Goth club there called "Desire" in Georges Cellar Bar by the clocktower early 93. Promoted a few gigs there too.
Madness @ The Apollo, Manchester, December 1980. The support act, Frantic Elevators, was fronted by an odd-looking redhead by the name of Mick Hucknall...
Whitesnake at the Hammersmith Odeon on their 'Saints & Sinners' tour with support from Samson in 1983 (I think).

I can't remember if it was Cream or the Edgar Broughton Band.

(Yes I am very old!)

Rollercoaster tour at the NEC in 1991. My Bloody Valentine, Blur, Dinosaur Jr and Jesus and Mary Chain. Damn good stuff.
Thunder at the old Preston Polytechnic Student Union in 1989.  I was 14.
Roxy Music at the Brighton Dome in 1973; I was 16. I remember that my dad gave me a lift down there and stood in amazement at the exotically-clad RM fans. It was an incredible gig, one of Brian Eno's last, for a debut. I think my next one was something a bit more prosaic, The Groundhogs if I remember correctly.
Salt 'n' Peppa,Norwich UEA must've been about 1989-1990 Then EMF,same venue the following year!
Neil Reid of 'Mother of Mine' fame (from Opportunity Knocks), oh the Shame of it, in what, 1972?  I was only 10.  Progressed to David Essex in 1975 then The Jam in 1977.
the fureys and davey arthur at the leeds city varietys some time in the 90's
LondonDave - I live in Leicester but I don't remember "Desire" sorry!!

Erm... Manic Street Preachers - in about 1998 in Sheffield. They were supported by Catatonia.
