T-shirts wishing people dead
14 Answers
Following on from the Thatcher t-shirts, which seemed to be quite serious, a rock group in Belfast in the 1980's has a "Daniel O'Donnell must die tour" and were seveely reprimanded for it, despite many folks sharing that tongue in cheek sentiment. It was quite obviously a joke but it cost them a fortune as they had to redo all of the promo material.
Happily, Daniel is still alive and well but, on the down side, he is still touring.

I know that because I know the guitarist from school. I, (and he), will readily admit it was not in great taste, but it was not intended to offend anyione. If they were guilty of anything it was thoughtlessness, and what 18/19 year olds haven't been? He is now rather wealthy and famous whereas I am not. Perhaps I shoud have been in the t-shirt business?
