just listening to radio with the wife , and two tribes by frankie goes to hollywood is blareing out , brilliant, i heard a right few years ago that holly johnston and later andy bell from erasure were diagnosed with hiv, both brilliant artists in my opinion, has anyone heard anything about these guys , how are they and what are they doing. hope they are well and wish them all the best , some great tunes ,

Holly Johnson was diagnosed absolutely eons ago. He`s still doing OK from what I have heard. I met him at work and he was very nice and cheerful. I have met Andy Bell as well but I can`t remember much about him.

A friend of mine is mates with Holly and he's fine from what I last heard. Don't know about Mr Bell though

Andy bell was on TV's 'Popstar to Operastar' in 2011 and his long term partner died earlier this year. His website is down for refresh at the moment. His 2010 solo album Non-stop when to no.12 in the Dance album chart

Over the past 20 years or so, the pharma industry have developed a number of anti-viral treatments which have been successful in managing the HIV virus so that people living with it don't have the 'automatic death sentence' they had, say, back in the 80s.

Indeed, I know a couple who are both HIV positive, but have been for so long (and who are otherwise so completely healthy), that after a while, you kinda forget!
