The Rancid song "1998" (awesome song) contains the lyrics, "Hanging out with Sid yet again in the USA, Sydney, Sydney in the USA" I was just wondering what they're singing about here. There are no lyrics with the Life Won't Wait album, so I don't know if tht's how you spell it. Anyway, who or what is Sydney? The city in Australia? Sid Vicious?

Well, the freak, interesting question! I've been wondering the same for a while, although I don't think they're referring to Sydney, Australia. More likely Sid Vicious of The Sex Pistols, possibly relating to his heavily drug related lifestyle, since this song is sort of about someone's deadbeat life. Then again it could just be a made up person. Sorry I couldn't give you a more informed answer. Anyone want to add to this?
