What is the earliest best example of the Saxaphone playing for the femme fatale - in films specifically? - or any later versions really, but specifically looking for its origins.

We can only think of Jessica Rabbit or Rachel in Bladerunner (but that has a sax over everything else.

Thanks for any answer on this.

Either Tony Curtis or Jack Lemmon played the saxophone in "Some Like It Hot", but, as they were merely disguised as women, maybe that doesn't count?

Maybe that doesn't count but I can put it on the list
It doesn't answer your question, but it may be of interest that last week I stayed at the Ibis Hotel in Dinant, Belgium; a nice little town on the river Meuse which happens to be the place where Adolph Sax invented his eponymous instrument, there is a tiny museum dedicated to him and and annual saxophone festival, I can highly recommend a visit.
