Does anyone know of any High Street stores in the UK where I could buy some cheap vinyl placemats?

I would hazard a guess at Wilkinsons or Woolworths.

If you look at argos they have a set of wooden ones for �6.00 - just to give you an example of how cheap these things are nowadays.

Most supermarkets do great kitchenware too. I've seen nice items (as well as some hideous stuff!!!!) in Asda, Sainsbury and Tesco.

Poundstretcher do funky circular ones with fruit printed on them with coasters to match. Very cheap too!
