Apparently there were also two females arrested on a similar charge, why has this person's name been released, and yet not the two females?
/// South Wales Police took the decision to release the rock star's name in order to further assist inquiries. ///
/// Two unnamed women, aged 20 and 24, from Doncacster and Bedford, have also been charged with 'similar offences'. ///

He has been arrested and charged, not found guilty. No ones name should be released until found guilty. Sh*t sticks, hard and fast, so if the old bill get it wrong (and they often do) someone is tarred for life as 'the one that got away with it' and that is so wrong.
If he is guilty however, then I have some suggestions that many liberals on this site wold not want to hear I am sure.

Always have thought that defendants shouldn't be named unless and until they are convicted. But that's only because the press have a distressing habit of printing prosecution counsel's opening to the jury as fact, and headlining it. When the man is acquitted, it gets barely any coverage at all, and may get none.
