When does a body gain a soul or when does a soul gain a body???  at conception? At birth?.......bit of a deep question but would be very interested to hear your thought & opinions

A soul is not a proven entity.  As far as I am aware, science cannot isolate or define a soul.  A soul is defined by various religious beliefs and is therefore whatever you believe it to be.  Some people will no doubt believe the soul is created at conception, others at birth, others ar baptism etc.

The answer to your question is therefore 'whatever you believe it to be' and in a free society we are all free to believe in what we wish.  You pays your mony and you takes your choice.

The soul is (in my theory) a force that escaped a different planet and after a lot of searching found planet earth as it home. The soul created a human body to live in. The body is expendable and when it reaches its end, the soul leaves the body and enters another human at the time of conception/birth. The alien force also created other creatures and nature so that the human body that it occupies can survive and thus ensure the survival of the soul. The animals and other life forms in this planet help to sustain the ultimate goal that is to allow the soul to live for eternity. The soul does not inhabit other creatures. The human population rose as more and more of the soul aliens decided to inhabit the earth and over centuries have been entering our planet. The problem is that the soul alien is actually hunted by another life force (the searchers) and they have not yet found the hiding place of the soul. Inherently the soul is evil and when the policing alien race from a different galaxy find the souls hiding place on earth (within the humans), the entire planet and the humans will be exterminated for the greater good of the other worlds. The soul is thus a other worldy parasite that has created human life on earth to survive. They will be found one day and killed and that will be the end of us. And the day they are found out by the searchers the entire human race will feel for a minute miniscule second a primeavial fear. It will be inexplicable and the fear will be felt by all. In fact that is the moment the sould realises that its hiding place has been discovered. The carnage will soon follow.

If the soul has the power to create a body, why would it create a human body that only lasts for 70 odd years? Why did it take these souls millenia to evolve into homo sapiens? I find your theory slightly disturbing in calling the soul evil - how then can we do good? While I'm sure it feels special to have a wacky idea like that there are simply far too many inconsisitencies (not to mention lack of any proof or even anecdotal evidence) to be anything other than a good story. Unless you were joking :)

How are you going to get proof or anecdotal evidence for anything related to the soul??

Withy regards to the evil alien soul in our bodies....why not? They have been very clever not to let their inherent evil manifest itself in the container (us). This was the way they remained undetected for so long. besides they created us to think that whatever is inhabiting them is good. However the evil does come out in what we humans sometimes do to each other and will continue to do so. The animals with no such alien soul inhabiting them show no such evil characteristic. As to why it lasts only 70 years.....they are still perfecting the container. But it will all end soon......the day when the primal fear touches us...when that fear kills in a fraction of a second millions of the old and infirm. TV stations and newspapers will be full of theories as to what happened....(remember this story wont you). Then the searchers will arrive and we will pay the price for being cardboard containers. We will end up in the recyling fields of this universe.

God created us & created our souls.when we die it is our soul that goes to heaven (or hell!), not our bodies.It's just another form of ourselves that lasts forever instead of the average 70 - odd years.

Obviously this question assumes that there is such a thing as a soul. Among those who do believe that each person has a soul there are different views on when "ensoulment" takes place. I tend to go with the idea of it taking place at conception: Any view on this is arbitary and cannot be verified - so I guess I go for the earliest possible option (conception).

Good questions.. tricky.. I think a soul is something that you are born with but it shape over years and experiences... a soul never dies. But then again I know people who still dont have a soul!! Lol

haha well why can't you prove it? The soul must exist, ergo it must be able to be proven to exist. That is logical. The lack of proof indicates it does not exist, as commonly understood at any rate.

 

As for the evil alien soul - well personally I tend to start from the facts rather than starting from my supposition and working backwards. It's funny how you end up finding what you want that way. By the way, I think the concept of your last sentence would look fantastic on Hollywood billboards. I have an image of a sign where a man is being dumped into the bin by a huge alien :)
