Neil Reid....on Cd.?

wishing to complete a few songs im missing in my collection. does anyone know if "mother of mine" by " neil reid" exists on cd. i know its from 71/72 but i cant find it on any compilation anywhere. thanks.

Sorry, none of the usual sources seem to find it. Further, Wikipedia states:
"Reid's self-titled album went to number one in 1972, making Reid the youngest person to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart, at the age of 12 years 9 months...This remains one of the very few Number 1 selling albums that has never had an official CD release and as such is unavailable in this format".

There's not even an official MP3 download of it available (although, if you're prepared to trust them, a few sites do seem to have the track). The only MP3 is the Nicky Price cover version:

I have a CD recorder so can transfer from any format onto CD. For years I have transferred my vinyl collection and hard to find tracks onto discs. Once I know tracks are unavailable then I'll just record it onto disc, I did 'Mother Of Mine' ages ago. There are a whole host of tracks you just can't get, lower end hits and tracks just failing to get in the charts. I do loads of 'Beat The Jock' nights where punters request tracks and if I can't play it they win a prize. It's vital I have everything hence my quest to get everything on CD.

thankyou to everyone for there help and offers. especially to northernpopquiz as you sound similar to me in you quest to have every song you,ve ever liked on cd.! i also have a massive collection as ive bought and collected for 40 years now.! im still holding out for a genuine cd copy one day.
