welshy- i have tried lemon curd once-far too sweet-i couldnt touch lemon n lime---havent even seen it int shops here(in saying that our shops are a bit behind with their stuff=esp in our wee place)

Beej, no,it's not an English thing. I'm Scottish and I LOVE lemon and lime curd and I'm the one responsible for Welshy's curd habit!!. I'm his pusher! Welshy, I too had my L & L curd on Sainsbury's cheese and black pepper muffins this morning. Yummy. Hope all well with you this morning? xx

Sorry, last post referred to Sweetpeas comment about hotshot and sweetcheeks!

Beej - the particular item janbee got me hooked on is made by a family firm called Mrs Darlingtons and bears no resemblance to the bland sugary pap you get in the supermarkets. It is full of flavour, really zingy without being sour and was described by a pal as very buttery. It is, however a tad dearer than ther other brands but it is now bought for me by Fingers as there is a supplier about 100 metres from her house!!!
