Hi,
I've been into chillout music, (boring, I know), MoS albums featuring groups like energy 52, Bent, Badly drawn boy, Groove Armada and other more obscure ones as well. I just wondered if anyone has a favourite that they might suggest. Two of mine to start the quest would be Lux - secret fish and Chicane - No Ordinary Morning.

Accadia's Into the Dawn is my all time favourite. But there is also Seven Cities by Solar Stone, Katcha's Touched By God, and Lustral's Everytime. For a more upbeat track you should listen to Flutlich's Mutterkorn.
Sorry, that should be Flutlicht. Don't know where the T went.

You could also try Tiesto's search for sunrise mix of Silence.
Groove Armada - At the River - as good as it gets

I know that this isn't what you're expecting but it is my favourite.

Mozart Clarinet Concerto in A 1st Movement: Allegro

At the River is the all time classic, featured in so many trailers and background documentary music, nice.
At the river is fine, but it's not exactly hovis is it?!
I am also with Tilly. But, if you wish for sublime, have you tried merging chillout with classical?!
Question Author
Agreed Spoon another I group like "nightmares on Wax is easy but progressive as well

I am having problems differentiating chillout with classical. Is chillout a music genre, of which I have no knowledge?

Tilly, try this Media URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chill-out_music
Description:
I see chillout as music you can just relax, shut your eyes and chill out too.

Some of that music for me is classical though. I love parts of Mozart's Requiem, I love almost haunting like choral classical pieces.
More chilled bit. Gives me memories of doing selected parts with a choir I was in years ago.

Chillout although based on electronic music, is really anything that you consider relaxing, a lot of 80/90's clubbers would crash out after partying to such music, giving them a slow come down after the raves etc
Thank you timberup. I can see I'm out of my depth here! I had no idea, not being a clubber.

Not out of your depth Tilly, just relaxing to a different chillout than me lol
