An image from that terrible day showed a woman confronting one of the knifemen. I thought it could become iconic as it showed the embodiment of decency confronting evil.
There's a petition calling for her, and the other two women who disregarded the danger and went to the aid of the wounded soldier, to be awarded the George Medal. You can sign it here.

i don't sign on line petitions generally, and i am not really sure that a George Medal would be pertinent, i believe what the three women did truly heroic, and maybe they think it wasn't..
Remember the elderly gentleman and off duty firefighter who tackled the potential terrorist on the tube a few years ago - they also deserve a reward

recognition absolutely, GM not sure. Perhaps they will get to go to the Pride of Britain awards, i have watched the programme, and many people do get recognition for good works, deeds.
