Someday -1980's R&B TUNE?

as a former dj, i had this tune. but i cant remember the artist or band? i know stevie wonder did backing and played harmonica. the chorus was   someday we'll all be free. any ideas????

I think it may have been The Gap Band of Oops Upside Your Head fame.

It's the Gap Band all right, the track is called "Someday" and it was a hit in 1984.  Stevie did indeed provide vocals and harmonica.  Here's a bit more info from a Gap Band site (first paragraph, tight to the top of the page):
