I Dont Get Timberlake

I don't doubt that Justin Timberlake is a nice, cool guy, but I do not "get" his music at all. I like most types of music, but his has no appeal at all for me. Nothing to latch on to, nothing memorable. I will be amazed if other artists in future cover his material. If any of you like it, please can you explain why? Him being gorgeous to look at does not count.

I saw him perform Mirrors at a ceremony (was it the Brits) and thought it was an embarrassing dirge. but a few months later I couldn't stop singing the song as it came on the radio.

Well he won't appeal to everyone and he knows that!

I agree. I like almost anything, but JT just doesn't do it for me.

What I'm saying is nearly all music appeals to me, but not his. I can't find anything good about it. I used to feel that way about Jamiroquai's stuff, but I can still remember some of Virtual Insanity so that's one step ahead of JT whose music is current yet I can't recall a note the moment it stops.

It's not about what age I am, or what age or any other listener is. It's not like music like his is only designed for young ears, rather like only dogs are supposed to hear those high pitched whistles.

I wasn't a fan until he sang 'Mirrors' at the awards and I was hooked then. Thought his performance was fantastic.
