I think it's annoying as hell. His voice is just so inauspicious. But you are right MattK it's nice that a guy who plays an instruments and writes his own songs is doing ok i suppose. Rather than cover versions, hip hop, r and b etc that all sounds the same.

Though the singles Charts started being a no-brainer in the early nineties I reckon. Album charts are a little more representative of "proper " music. Just my opinion though.
