Avin A Bricky ... I'm Hank Marvin ... Plans?
41 Answers
Should I be scared?
We're going to Brick Lane tonight. You know, in East London? For a curry.
Yes, we're 'avin a "Bricky".
Gal pals who work in the City claim it's the "only" place to go for a good curry.
That seems a bit of an exaggeration.
Actually, I suppose I mean a "Ruby". I must practice my London talk.
Gor blimey, guvnor. 'Ave you got a Betty Grable for eight? I'm 'Ank Marvin.
I can do this. I can carry this off.
(big breaths ... phoo, phoo, phoo)
So what plans have we all got?

They're chiefly Bangladeshi (the Huguenot weavers having moved on) and may be unaware of the cultural importance of Mr Marvin and Ms Murray. The clientele will be city types like your pals rather than barrow boys, who will all be at home in the Essex mansions by then.
