I went to see Bonnie Raitt live about 30 years ago.

Sadly she is nowhere near as well known in the UK as she is in the US.

And I know it may be sacrilege to say it, but I prefer her singing ballads to singing blues songs.

Here she is singing Love has no pride from her 1972 album.

She has a great voice for ballads.

I once put a load of her ballads on cassette and always played it when people came round my house and so many people said how much they loved the songs (and the singer).
