I'm probably miles off (Because I've seen the trailer at least half a dozen times), but it's not an instrumental version of the Rainbow theme tune, is it?

If not, keep checking back and I'll try and catch it again.
I've not seen the trailer, but the flute tune in vision on was used in the animated clock segment, and is "Gurney Slade" by Max Harris.
and Gurney Slade was originally an Anthony Newley tv comedy

Many thanks everyone, I'd heard of Gurney Slade but didn't know that was the theme music
I was certain I knew it from Vision On but the only piece I could think of was Cavatina used for the gallery
"Gurney Slade" wasn't the theme, just incidental music for one of the regular segments (the animated clock) - the opening theme was "Accroche-Toi, Caroline" by Caravelli, and the closing credits theme was "Java" as performed by Al Hart and Bert Kaempfert.

I could have put that better, Mushroom, I meant I didn't know it was the theme to Gurney Slade not Vision On
