Hi Laura. I thought it was very good.
you have an epic rock voice but if you're gonna put that stuff online learn the words, look into the camera and give it some attitude. :)

Question Author
thanks il keep it u cant please them all lol even though i agree its not great but if i can get away with it il go with it lol
The one-minute-plus intro and the instrumental break don't help, because the first made you nervous, and the second left you looking a little self-conscious, both of which are down to the surroundings, and are not a criticism of your performance.

In there is an excellent rock voice - if you had the chance to unwind it fully, in a pub or with a band on stage, you would sound really good.

You have a nice bluesy edge, which is subdued probably by your desire not to upset the neighbours!

If you want to check out any local bands playing rock/blues and looking for a singer - you should be well in.

And, in case you don't know me - I do know what I'm talking about - think of me as the AB's Simon Cowell (without the money or hair!) but the professional knowledge to give you a valid opinion.
P.S. - like your artwork!
Wow, well done Laura, I liked it but if you've impressed Andy, that is something else. Good luck

hey thankyou simon cowell lol! you are right i was nervous and worried about letting rip for the neighbours haha! ive just started singing in a cover band and cant wait to let rip lol! i wasent keen on my vocal in this the high notes at the end were strained i feel but i was tring to be quiet lol thanks again very much to you both for that feedback very encouraging to keep plugging away! and improving hopefully ;)
I really liked the first minute :-)

Ok: I think you have a good voice, I think it enjoyable and competent. I can understand you going down well at a local club and folk happy to pay to listen (given a decent band behind you). However I think it seemed rather safe, that you didn't find a "wow factor" to make folk look up and say this is something extra special. I believe this is a common concern and that you can work on that since I think you have talent, potential, provided you feel you want to.

Are you simply amusing yourself or hoping to break into the entertainment business ?
I liked it, Laura, well done.

Best one yet (from where I'm sitting)
Go for it!!!
