Hi , my son received severe brain damage in 1986 when he was hit by a car . It left him epileptic , the medication he was on rotted his teeth . He needed so much work done that he was referred to a special dentist who checks up on NHS dentists . This man told us that my son should not have to pay for treatment as he is epileptic and the tablets the hospital put him on were to blame for his teeth rotting .
He has received a letter to say that he is to be charged for dental treatment earlier this year and also fined for ticking the income support box . His support worker did not know what benefit Paul is on and Paul is so brain damaged he does not understand such things . He was just told by the receptionist to sign his name . He receives DLA and ESA . I have no way of proving what that dentist told me all those years ago . Has anyone got any suggestions please ? Many thanks
