Whose responsibility is it to cure cancer? Is it the job of the Medical Oncologist or is it Scientist who are suppose to cure the diseases like cancer and other deadly diseases?

The oncologist is responsible for individual patients- to try to get the right treatment in the right way- but i imagine it's the scientists who will eventually find a cure. I hope.

Whose responsibility is it to cure cancer? - as in " you were employed to cure cancer and you havent so now you're fired ! "

My med onco sees me every four months so far - checks my bloods, give me a prod, satisfies himself my disease ( lymphoma ) has not returned and sends me on my way

If it HAS returned - i get admitted for intravenous dettol or drano and a death certificate a little later.

There is no one single cancer, there are dozens of them.

A relative of mine got Ovarian cancer and it seems there are 5 different types of just ovarian cancer.

So you can just say "cure cancer".
