No Katty its not Odyssey. The song had a new twist to it, a 90s beat that evolved into dancehall/rap.

I've really scratched the internet. Every search engine. Every site. Can't find it. I'm not sure of the title. I don't know the artiste. But those are unmistakably the lyrics. Was hoping someone would know it from memory.

Thanks for all your efforts. But its not Odyssey. Not Rupaul. Not FPI project. Not Luciano. Not Lucky Dube. Not The ROOTS. This song was popular in the early 90s and was often played alongside "Back to Life(however do you want me)" by Soul II Soul. I'll keep searching

are you absolutely sure it was not one of the FPI remixes of either rich in paradise or going back to my roots?

Is there any type of backing like rob base / it takes two style backing ?

This was one of my favourite era`s and it is the only one i can think of at present.
