we are having a dispute about when another brick in the wall was released as a single, everyone thinks it was in or around 1979 (when the album was released) but i am pretty sure the single was released after the film and was in the british charts around 1982 any help would be appreciated

I'm pretty sure that the single was released either early 1980 or late 1979.

The single was released at the same time as The Wall on 30th November 1979. The single which came out with the 1982 film was called "When The Tigers Broke Free".

The single was in fact the Christmas number one for 1979. Very festive :-)
