Worst was U2 also at Twickenham (the sound was terrible) and Robbie Williams at Milton Keynes who I`m not really a fan of but I aquired a ticket and apart from the fact that it was dire, he started a game of football with his mate right in the middle of the gig.
Led Zeppelin - Birmingham Odeon - early 1970s - quite astonishingly good.
Fat Reg from Pinner - Birmingham Town Hall - mid 1970s - unexpectedly brilliant (I only went to attempt to inveigle myself into a girl's ... affections)
Lou Reed - Birmingham Odeon - 1974 - just beyond anything I'd seen before (even if he was the most scary person I've ever tried to interview)
and on the naughty step ...
Focus (remember them anyone?) - pretentious Dutch rubbish - knitting would have been more fun
