Which budget airlines go East Miss or BHX to SalzBurg please? Can't find anything!

FlyBe operate from Birmingham but in the summer only and on a charter basis (so it's not clear as to whether those flights will always appear in their schedules).

Thomson operate from Birmingham and East Midlands but in the winter only.

There are no other flights to Salzburg from either airport.

The only other flights from England direct to Salzburg are as follows:

BA: All year, from Gatwick

easyJet: Winter only, from Bristol, Gatwick, Liverpool & Luton

FlyBe: Winter only, from Southampton

Jet2: Winter only, from Leeds-Bradford & Manchester.

Monarch: Winter charter only, from Gatwick

Norwegian Air Shuttle: Winter only, from Gatwick (but not commencing until 13 December).

Ryanair: All year, from Stansted.

Thomas Cook: Winter only, from Gatwick & Manchester.

Thomson: All year, from Gatwick, Manchester & Newcastle. Plus winter only from Bristol, Luton & Stansted.

So, depending exactly where you are in the Midlands (and when you want to travel), Ryanair from Stansted might be your best option. There are direct trains to Stansted from Birmingham & Leicester:

Alternatively, consider flying with Lufthansa from Birmingham (all year round) to Munich. There's a frequent train service from Munich to Salzburg, with journey times varying between about 1½ hours and 2 hours.
