Film/Story themes

I read somewhere that there are only 7 or 8 story themes and all films are just variations one of of those themes. I'm aware of Fish-out-of-Water and Science-Gone-Wrong. Is that true? Can you supply any more themes???

there was a scifi insert in the last edition of empire that had 10 basic scifi plots, one of them was science gone mad, maybe thats what you are thinking of. The seven basic plots book is a good read though and is very up to date
