I heard it on the box earlier and it just sounded as if all the 'stars' were trying to outdo each other and stand out rather than aiming for an homogenous sound.
'Look at me, doin ma bit for charitee' sort of thing.....

Apart from not knowing 75% of the singers, it was all rather bland and ineffectual.

Brian Wilson being autotuned doesn't really lend any dignity to the whole thing.

choux - I always smile at the rather stiff and overly formal version of Perfect Day, because I doubt that many of the more 'mainstream' performers knew they were singing about heroin!

I am - but I don't deal in mainstream pop, it's not my area, so I reocgnise people like Dave Grohl, but not the 'pop stars'.
