I doubt that any of it is missed out. If you check moonlight sonata on itunes and click on some that are shorter (Alfred Brendel - 5mins 51) and some that are longer (Daniel Barenboim - 6mins 40) you'll hear the difference. It's all down to preference.
Also, strictly speaking, there are 3 movements to the moonlight sonata. I take it you only mean the famous first movement - Adagio Sostenuto and not the 2nd (Alegretto) and 3rd (Presto Agitato) movements.
