Tuesday. Late this morning. Late night. at Monday Club. First silly season dinner.
A good evening was had by all. I won two bottles of wine in the raffle. Happy bunny. :o}
I put tiggy's supper out before I went, put some more out when I got back. Some of it still there, so the wee lad won't be complaining to the RSPCA about being mistreated.
Not as cold out ad I was expecting this morning. How much longer can it go on!
I'm fine thanks. Just had to chase off some foxes from my garden. I put out seeds and fat balls(pardon!) for the birds, but the foxes and local cats are always barging in.
I'm not doing any this year beej. I'm sending money to the hospice instead. They can put the money to better use than the greetings card companies can.
I sent over a hundred last year beej. I thought that's lot of money that can be put to better use. the hospice run a Hospice at Home Service, which means patients can end their days at home instead of a hospital. A dedicated hospice nurse is assigned to the family and will stay as long as required. It's a wonderful concept and it works well.
Many years ago, I stopped sending cards one year and gave all the money to Cancer Research. You have no idea how many people got huffed about the fact that they didn't get a poxy card so the next year I sent cards again, but didn't send any to the complainers. Now, I don't care what people think, next year they ain't getting any ! The money will all go to a charity. I refuse to support the Royal Mail shareholders !
Same here jan. The hospice at home nurses are all highly qualified and are all lovely people doing a wonderful job with the entire family, not just the patient. They will even rustle up a meal if required!
Please, don't vote for Titanic and THAT gawd awful song.
We all know the story, big boat, iceberg, glug glug glug. The end. It's never going to have a different ending is it? Oh yes, the boat sailed on to New York and the passengers and crew all lived happily ever after.
