For Some Weeks Now I Have A Major Problem With Firefox Repeatedly "not Responding"
This leaves me hanging on waiting and unable to continue with what I am trying to do. I tried resetting to default without any success, I was also advised to uninstall and do a new installation but it is still the same. In desperation I have been using Chrome but it is not the same and I would like my favourite Firefox back Please can anyone tell me what to try now please.
Best wishes to all ABers for a happy and prosperous new year especially those of you who been extremely helpful in the past.

I have checked I have the latest version as above thanks. I removed via add remove programmes. Whilst checking these I found my compatibility was still set on windows XP and my shortcut on desktop was out of date. I have removed this and changed compatibility to see if this sorts my problem Not sure how to add new shortcut Hans many thanks
Just seen your answer Methyl using PC with windows 7 professional. When using firefox with problem a message appears very top left of screen " firefox is not responding" but if I wait it continues until I change entry. Maybe what I have just done will change this I have yet to discover. thanks very much

Seamonkey is a very good Browser and is listed as one of the top 10 for 2015. In fact you can have as many Browsers as you wish and it is worth trying a few. I am a Firefox Fanatic but have Seamonkey as a 'back-up' Browser; along with Safari and Internet Explorer. It's perfectly safe and will work with all Windows Operating Systems.
Worth having a browse of the following link :-
http:// interne t-brows er-revi ew.topt enrevie ws.com/
@askyourgran....Click open Firefox Tools, then click Add-ons. followed by Plugings. Finally at the top of the listed Pluggings there is a 'check button'
to click and see if any Plugings need to be up-dated.
Hans.
