I am always amazed by Johnnie Walker these days.

He has always had, and of course still has, one of the greatest radio voices in the world.

He started off with the pirates and was a ground breaking music enthusiast through the '60's and '70's.

He recorded the Radio One Controller of his time on the station saying that as long as he (the Controller) was in charge, Walker would have a job - and then played the recording on air when said Controller sacked him.

He has beaten cancer.

Because of his status, he still gets major interview features with giants of music past and present.

So why, in the name of sanity, has he developed the personality and presenting style of a sponge?

He is terminally boring to listen to, and he belongs on Radio Quiet.
