If I was a train and a blonde like her looked at me twice like she does, and nibbles her bottom lip as she smiles, I would across that carriage in a second, kneeling in front of her sobbing with desire!

Jordyboy - "Sorry cant agree Andy, not a great voice, and I would say for looks Audrey Hepburn and for voice Judith Durham singing danny boy."
I am not suggesting that Ms Faltskog has the greatest voice, or the best looks - but she was part of the second greatest pop group in the world, and I referred to her 'one of the most beautiful women in pop' - which I believe her to be - and as for the composers - they are matchless in terms of modern pop composition.

It would be amazing if Abba were for reform for a tour but then again maybe some things are best left in the past (and anyway, the Ebay touts would make most of the money out of it). I`m not sure I would call the Abba boys the greatest pop writers after Lennon and McCartney. I would give that accolade to Holland Dozier Holland.

Indeed. It would not be Abba, it would four people who used to be Abba, which is not the same thing at all, and the entirely valid reason why John Lennon would never sanction a Beatles reunion, and Robert Plant refuses all offers to tour with Led Zepelin.

HDH were contemporaries of Lennon and McCartney - Abba rose to fame after those heady days.

The Toff - "Never heard it before, i agree it is a great song Andy, must try to get a copy of it."
It was only a minor hit, and it broke the run of 19 consecutive Top Thirty singles that preceded it.
It was the last song the band recorded - they already knew the end was in sight, and since both couples were divorced by now, there is a degree of poignancy that comes over in the vocals and the video.

I think we've had this thread a couple of times before, andy, and I always agree with you. This is my favourite Abba single (just ahead of The Winner Takes it All), but I prefer this video in which Agnetha looks very sad but still beautiful
I regret that I never really appreciated Abba at their peak - it wasn't cool to like Abba as well as Floyd etc and then punk
