Algae Problem For Fish Pond
Dies anyone who keeps fish in a garden pond know of a solution to algae problems? I have tried several different so-called cures, but none seems to do what it says on the bottle. At the moment my pond liner and pumps etc in the pond are shrouded with algae and it seems impossible to shift it. If anyone has managed to solve this problem please share the secret!

If it's just green water, try either adding a UV (change the bulb every March), using Barley straw as recommended above or reducing the competition for light and food for the algea by adding more plants to use up the excess nitrates and phosphates produced by the fish and more lillies to cover around 2/3 of the water surface.
