Cilla's Funeral Today.

It's Cilla Blacks funeral today and there will be many famous people there.Cliff Richard,Christopher Biggins, Paul O'Grady and probably Jimmy Tarbuck etc. We know she was good friends with The Beatles back in the day, but do you think that Paul or Ringo will be at the funeral, anyone heard if they will be there? xx

I have read that neither are attending.

That may be for logistical reasons - touring commitments etc., or maybe they don't wish to detract from the solemnity of the occasion.

That was a thought of mine, and not based on any fact, or even valid opinion.

If Messrs. Starr and McCartney don't attend, they will have their reasons - which may be nothing to do with their status, or their perception of it.

We may find out during or after the event, so until then, let's not judge too harshly.

I would agree - I think John knew Cilla best, but given their vastly different lives and social circles, it is inevitable that people simply lose touch - we all do, and the famous and rich do as well.
