not sure i agree "drive-in saturday" is a row - it's full of amazing lyrical imagery. can't say i recognise your description of screechy woman - it was all good today, even Ernie, given the context of its inclusion.

ah ok, probably cheryl lynn then. she's not to everyone's taste but the song was a defining moment in the disco scene. and it included ray "ghostbusters" parker junior on guitar.

I find him one of the better DJs on the radio. My main gripe is he plays stuff that I've heard a thousand times before. I now tune into radio Scotland in the evening, you get a good eclectic mix of music with some oldies that haven't been done to death.

Yes, it was Cheryl Lynn. I have never heard of her. Wreckless Eric was on last week and I've never heard of him either.

Fortunately, Mr T is a bit more with it and keeps me up to date with more modern stuff. I really dislike some of the music he plays, so he plays it whilst I am out and he's doing the housework. :-)

I loved Wreckless Eric ("Wjole Wide World") but I always felt sorry for him as he was popular on radio and kept making songs but never had a hit.
I enjoyed today apart from the choice of Lemmy track (Louis Louis)- my least favourite I think. I really enjoyed The Eagles (Already Gone) and The Rods (Do anything you wanna do "
