Solsbury Hill is located near Bath, England, where Gabriel would often walk or jog. According to legend, a temple was built there to honor Apollo, god of light, music, and poetry.

He used to live in a village near to Bath. As I had the pleasure one day in 1997 of knocking on a door for a glass of water( I was walking in the area with the Army) And low and behold only Peter Gabriel answered the door!!!!!! I spent about 1 hour talking to him in his kitchen, (he had a recording studio in his back garden!! )and he signed me a picture as I'm a keen Genesis and Gabriel fan. AWSOME moment
