I was looking at the map to see where we were going and I spotted it.
Katzenellenbogen!
Do you remember it?
There's a tiny house, by a tiny stream
Where a lovely lass had a lovely dream
And the dream came true quite unexpectedly
In Gillygillyossenfeller Katzenellenbogen by the sea.
Couldn't believe I still remembered the words.
Was it Alma Cogan or Lita Roza or someone else?
We just had to go and have a look. It didn't measure up to its grand name not a lot there, disappointing.

There's a Katzenellenbogen Street in Noordehoek, just outside Cape Town. I saw it on my first day and for the entire six weeks of my stay couldn't get the song out of my head! Hope the same thing doesn't happen now Caran.
