Elton John, ain't he just brilliant?

I missed it. Was it a repeat of the concert shown a week or so ago?
If so, I was slightly disappointed that he did too many new songs and not enough old favourites to sing along to.
Having said that, he is a great talent.

Cliverjo - I saw Elston in concert a few years ago, and when he announced that he was going to play some new songs, some of the audience groaned audibly.

Elton advised them politely that if he didn't play new songs, they would never be played - a fair point for any musician to make.

Every one of his wonderful and well-known hits was a new song once - how else do we get to know them unless he plays them in concert, as well as having them played on the radio?
