I think every time I do this I come up with a different ten but Hotel California and Layla are quite often in my list too. I think I'd struggle to narrow my list down to 100
I could only come up with my number 1 - Sex Machine by James Brown. I would find it too hard to whittle all of the other songs down to 9
I'll have ago off the top of my head but know I'll immediately think of 90 others I missed off:
Love Affair- anything by them
Stranglers- No More Heroes
Clash- London Calling
Stone Roses - Made of Stone
Last Shadow Puppets- age of the understatement
Timi Yuro- Hurt
Tams -I've Been Hurt
The Game - Hate it or Love It
Led Zeppelin- Trampled Underfoot
Four Tops -Baby I Need your Loving

And I haven't turned to Northern Soul, Beatles, Queen, ELO, Eagles, T Rex, Barry White yet. Nor Andy Williams and Dusty.

Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones
Honky Tonk Woman - Rolling Stones
The first cut is the deepest - PP Arnold
I Surrender - Rainbow
Heroes - David Bowie
Patience - Take That
Columbia - Oasis
Cigarettes and Alcohol - Oasis
My Immortal - Evanescence
I gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas

Ask tomorrow, t could be different, apart from the first two!
* a go *
Oh yeah- Oasis. Rockin Chair would be on my list
Arrgghhhh Stone Roses! You see, it changes all the time.
Joni Mitchell would have to be in there somewhere, although which song would take too long to choose....Anything from "Blue" I suppose !

And what about The Beatles ?.....Eleanor Rigby for me ::::

Sunshine on my shoulder - John Denver
Masachusetts - The Bee Gees
Everything I own - Bread
Long arm of the Law -Kenny Rogers
Will you still love me tomorrow - The Shirelles
Wind beneath my Wings - Bette Davis
I'm your Man -Leonard Cohen
I don't wanna tell a lie - Mac Davis
In the Ghetto - Mac Davis

Did Betty Davis do it as well as Bette Middler?
