Togo, Sgt Pepper was at the top of the charts in early 1968 though made the previous year.
There's no obvious answer. None of the top albums that year has a name anything like a bird. If you're prepared to call Diana Ross a bird, she and the Supremes are the only females on the list. If you think a single track on an album can quality as being on top of the album charts (the way each member of a relay team can get a gold medal), then Blackbird - never released as a single, as far as I know. The Byrds and Joni Mitchell weren't on top of any charts I can find.

Quite right, Albatross was only a single . But there was an album with theat track in it released the same year 1968. The Album was called
'The Pious Bird of Good Omen' So the the answer could be 'Pious Bird'
