Easily done, actually. Opposite The Grand, the cycle path is on the footpath, not on the road. There are constant "near misses".

were you at either one of the 1970s earl's court gigs? the first was an utter disaster, the second was better through its innovative use of one of the industry's first mega viewscreens. I was at the first, mainly because the supporting act was Alex Harvey.

the last run-in I had with a cyclist, few years ago, was Mrs B, myself and dog walking along a wide footpath, clearly marked as 'No cycling' when a cyclist, male, 18-20 ish coming towards us on a long straight section decided to cycle between us even though we were over to one side. When he exited the gap between us somehow his right wrist was broken. Even now, years later, I as a former Close Combat Instructor just can't work out how that happened, the Police concluded he must have fallen off his bike, Mrs B and I remember it well, the cyclist doesn't, possible concussion?
