Well mine's got 9362, so someone forgot to tell it...

We had this discussion in work the other day.  My opinion is that a DJ/Mobile Disco etc would be the only people who would require such capacity.

I have 5,000 track capacity on my 20Gb Creative Zen and so far have roughly 1,480 tracks on it, so how anyone would make use of a 40Gb player/jukebox is beyond me!

yeah it is possible. i bought a 20GB ipod awhile ago, and when  that was full i bought another, i have 6002 songs between them
You'd struggle to find 500 songs??  I have 970 on my ipod without even trying that hard!
5000 tracks is only the equivalent of 400-500 albums. It's not that much, if you've been collecting for a few years.
omg yes easily..my music hardrive in the pc is 120gig and nearly full. In fact we are not sure what to do next.
Physically we own 2000+ cds which have been ripped and stored in the loft out of the way of little fingers!
