Think Twice Aboiuy This Purchase!
22 Answers
27 / 3 / 2017 bought a Lumber Back Support Belt for my Wife's back Trouble, this was bought through the Daily Mirror, Quote Number/ 71122, £29.99 + £4.99 P/P, there is a 28 day return on this Belt through the company in Skemersdale, the D.Mirror has a 30 day return, after trying this belt it does not do what it should be doing, " Does not Ease Back pain" I contacted the company this morning with my complaint, they replied, it's been used, no refund, it does say this on the D.Mirror ad but nothing about using the belt, how do you know if something is useless if you don't use it? please note if you are thinking of buying this belt, " DONT" contacted T.S. same reply, so if you want to waste your money, purchase this thing.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Islay, I'm not saying the company has done anything wrong, their ad states, "If For Any Reason" our reason, it does not do what it has been advertised to do, I have contacted T.S. also CAB Consumers dept, am I stupid here ( Don't answer that) I have a reason, it was tried which you have to do ( Am I right here?) It did not Perform its advertisement, to reduce back pain, Not in my wife's case so although not faulty, that's my reason.
Whilst I sympathise, you are correct that the Daily Mirror does say 3o day return for any reason as long as it is faulty/unused, so I think you're stuck. Even though it didn't work for you, the item isn't faulty; and has been used. I think you chalk it up to experience.

Before lashing out £35 I would have sought the advice of my GP to a) recommend such a device as suitable and b) to recommend a source for such a device.
I would never buy from an online supplier without having had medical advice to ensure I was making an appropriate purchase and take into account that it may be the answer.

Well all, Talk about a lesson to be learnt, I would call this "A Con to Remember", how can you say a product is working if you do not try it? If the advert stated, if worn next to the skin, returns will not be excepted, then I would not have purchased, Eccles Some or all of us do try these items, some work, some do not, the only statement I can say on this Item, think twice, if you use it & it does not work for you, Throw £35 in the bin, as said to the D.M. Offers, I will never ever purchase off them again, CB Members be warned, this is not a slur on the product but the truth about the T.C.
Have you not addressed your own advice by stating that:-
Some or all of us do try these items, some work, some do not, the only statement I can say on this Item, think twice, if you use it & it does not work for you, Throw £35 in the bin,
I would have thought that most people would seek the advice of a HCP before making a purchase, to do it off your own bat is rife with potential failures.

surely you would have tried it on over a vest or a tee shirt, not tried it next to your skin in case you marked it ?.Though I sympathise with TWR sometimes you have to give up and put it down to experience, but thank you for warning us all about it. I was at the Ideal Home Show a week or so back and I tried all the pain killing gadgets for my sciatica, some were £250 + but not one of them worked for me, so £35 was lesser of the two evils to loose.
