anyone ever done the messiah from scratch at the albert hall? what's it like how much rehearsal time do you get etc? I have experience of singing in choirs, but not for couple years now, my boyfriend has none though he's very scared! How many singers are there in total?

I've played the Messiah many times....being an orchestral musician.

I've never sung it, but I know it will a very happy atmosphere. It's being done for fun remember!

Please, please enjoy it. That's why people keep coming back. You'll probably end up sitting next to some old granny that will want to know everything about you....(is that a good or bad thing?) And there are so many singers, you'll never be heard. Unless no-one shows up, you'll have to do all the solos....(hands up on cheeks, mouth open!!)

Have fun, relax, enjoy yourself. You WILL have a blast.

And remember to look around, the Albert Hall is an awesome place to be/perform.
