best unheard of hip hop album

Hey, whats the best hip hop album thats pretty unheard of. (so no dr dre or nwa etc) Just wondering what people think, thanks!

Well I know it's an illegal album, but I'd say The grey album by Jay Z -the Beatles and DJ Danger Mouse.

I really do wish they'd sort out the problems and release it properly. Truly a great album in the making.

Hey.

I'd say "Nine- 9 Livez"- Rugged voice-pretty good lyrics-very underated.

Also underated I thought was the "Wu Syndicate-Wu Syndicate" album.

"Teflon-My Will" (good buddy of M.O.P) One album years ago that had some good tracks then disappeared...think he had label probs with Sony.

"Witchdoctor- Healin Ritual"- From the south-Outkast style.

Personally I think that because hip-hop has become sooo commercial it is hard to find decent underground. Guess it depends where you are looking. Uk aint great.

p.s. Does DJ Shadow count as Hip-hop?
