I’m not sure at all that offending us is the intention. As you say, France and Charlie Hebdo have been on the receiving end of Islamic terrorism and it's doubtful that anyone there regards what's happened in this country in recent weeks as a joke. Satirical, yes, but reading the script I perceive that to be intended as a warning.

It is tasteless but it's ironic you're all so offended by it when everyone was sticking up for Charlie Hebdo having the 'right to draw what cartoons they like' in the wake of the terrible attack on them. The right to draw what cartoons they like as long as they don't offend you it would seem. Free speech is exactly that- we don't have to like what is said, drawn or written, merely like that we can do it if we so wish.

I was never a ' Charlie Hebdo' fan, but I stood with France against the outrage (photo in local paper!). Hard for us, but that is free expression. I don't like it, but it is important that it is there.
