Maybot Malfunction On Newsnight
This Daily Mail report on the car crash interview Theresa May did on Newsnight is scathing.
I don't think I have ever seen the Mail so vicious toward a Conservative Prime Minister.
After reading that, there is little doubt that May is toxic, a lame duck and a dead woman walking.

Do you agree that she will now be removed sooner, rather than later?

every day she stays in office she makes Corbyn look more attractive. Which doesn't bother me, of course, but it ought to bother her party and its diehard voters that she's doing Labour's work for it..

She should have already gone, the woman is poison. She is chronically unable to answer straight questions, she cannot keep her temper under pressure, and she does not appear to give a damn about the victims of that fire. She's a useless, malignant snake and she needs to go, now.
I'm glad she was called a coward, that's exactly what she is.

Whatever else you make of the article, it's also interesting that it *isn't* titled "Leftie Liberal biased BBC hounds PM unfairly pushing some agenda or other".

May has badly misjudged this situation, as she has misjudged everything else recently. She has completely lost her grip. To quote someone close to the event yesterday, she is "cold like a fish"
If the Royals, Corbyn and almost everybody else can visit and show concern, so can May. But instead, she is holed up in the security zone called Downing Street, meeting some NI bigots and trying to find a way to save her neck.
I believe she has lost the trust of the people and she should now go.

I don’t know what the Daily Mail saw, but I watched that last night and saw an aggressive, disdainful, rude interviewer who, much of the time, wouldn’t allow Mrs May to finish what she was saying. Mrs May speaks calmly and isn’t prone bursting into tears, as some people seem to expect her to, but nothing she said could be described in any way as inhuman. She is being hounded out of office.
Pains me to say do but I think you are right naomi. Much though I don't tend to sympathise with Tory politicians, and whilst I'm sure May is bring badly advised and not making the decision to ignore bad advice, she is the only one looking to aim for a decent Brexit, and those who want to prevent that are simply going in for the kill.
Pity Farage isn't in the driving seat.

OG...with respect, this thread isn't about Brexit. Its about our current PM, who appears to have learnt nothing since the Election.
If she had immediately appeared at Grenfell Tower, as everybody else everybody did, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
But she chose to meet "privately (?) with some firefighters. She completely misjudged the mood of the situation.
As regards the Newsnight interview....yes, it was hard hitting but what should have happened ? Should she had been invited onto one of the daft sofa-programs, and allowed to witter on, without being put under any pressure ?
She is the PM, and if she is only now realising what that means, then perhaps she shouldn't be in the job.
I repeat....she should go.
