My Vocal Range Is D3-F5, And I'm Most Comfortable When I Sing G3-B4. I Have A Clear, Soft Voice. Am I A Contralto Or A Mezzo-Soprano?

I sing in my high school's choir as an alto. Now I'm in summer break, I practice on my own at home with youtube videos of vocal coaches and I was wondering how I could classify my voice? I'm trying to find songs that "fit" my voice. My vocal range is D3-F5 which is not very high but not super low either (and I'm most comfortable when I sing G3-B4). Some people say I'm a contralto, others say I'm a mezzo-soprano. I don't have a deep, dark and powerful voice like most altos, my voice is actually really clear and soft.
Would you say I'm more of a contralto or a mezzo? Should I work on my lower or higher notes? I need advice please!

You are obviously young (High school - are you American?). I'm 68 and a very definite alto (have been like you when I was young) but I have about 3 octaves now - it depends on how hard I work and am pushed. Can do lower Bass a and top a on a good day with a following wind! I was chief Bass for a while in one choir! (Your nomenclature and mine don't coincide, by the way.) Work on your high notes for now. Your voice deepens anyway as you get older. Have a lot of fun on the way! :)
