Punk. I love some of it and these are on my Iplayer. I had 3 teenage brothers through these times and they drove me mad, or so I thought then. They really did give me a string back to the early Rock n Roll.

The Clash were able to move seamlessly between the punk type stuff, to the reggae and then the pop stuff later on. I loved London Calling and rediscovered Straight to Hell after hearing it sampled on the wonderful Paper Planes in Slumdog Millionaire
